Benefit of Chocolate


  

 You Know Chocolate ??  

I think many people know about chocolate..  


Chocolate is food from cocoa beans that be process step by step. Many people like to eat chocolate as it has a sweet taste. Chocolate usually has funny shapes that make many people interest to consume chocolate. But sometimes many people are afraid to eat chocolate. It is because the sweet taste of chocolate contains a lot of sugar and fat that can make increase cholesterol.

in chocolate also has some contains that function to our health. And we are can eat chocolate as well. We are can control to consuming 
chocolate.

   

 we are don't afraid because chocolate also has some benefits for our health.

 Hollenberg (2008) state that components and benefit of  chocolate, they are:  

1.      Chocolate contains polyphenols, these polyphenols are antioxidants. Benefits of polyphenol content in chocolate for health are:
a.       Based research scientists 
Germany, polyphenols work to lower 
blood pressure that is able to reduce the 
number of systolic blood pressure (top)
 and diastolic number (lower
 blood pressure). Polyphenols contained 
in this chocolate are polyphenol type 
procyanidin, which is more effective
 and active lowers blood pressure.
  b.      These polyphenols are chemicals that can be                 used to prevent heart disease.
c.       Cardiovascular health

2.      Chocolate contains flavonoids, flavonoids also include antioxidants. Chocolate is high in antioxidants, because chocolate has antioxidants 8.5 times the antioxidants found in strawberries, which is strawberry fruit has highest antioxidants among other fruits. The benefits of flavonoids in dark chocolate for health are:
a.       Able to reduce levels of LDL (bad cholesterol)
b.      Flavonoids can to improve insulin sensitivity  chocolate has a protective action on the vascular endothelium.
c.       Flavonoid dark chocolate can increase the production of nitric oxide which is a substance that opens the arteries and accelerates blood flow.
d.     Chocolate can improve arterial flexibility which causes low blood pressure and reduce blood clots that can lead to stroke
e.       Flavonoids as antioxidants that can strengthen its capacity as an immunomodulator. Important immunomodulator used when decreased immune system or can be used to override patients with influenza, sore throat, swelling, fever. Flavonoids in chocolate can capture reactive oxygen and reactive nitrogen species.
f.        Lowering cholesterol hypertensive patients.


3.      Chocolate contains theobromine, phenethylamine, caffeine. The content of health benefits are: The content of this serves to assist the function of blood vessels when consumed in a balanced and correct.

4.      Epicatechin, This substance is used to lower the risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke, diabetes mellitus

5.      Chocolate contains high levels of serotonin and endorphins in the brain this content serves to improve mood and pleasure. Serotonin acts as an anti depression while endorphin serves to give a sense of excitement.
